You need to know that we reserve the right to electronically check the (first time) renters' drivers license. The only information we are able to access is DMV information which is public knowledge. There is a slight charge for this procedure. Depending on the state, the charge can be $10-15.

Our policy is clear and simple. No one wants to sit in a car that has pet hair or odor in it. So please do not carry dogs or cats in the vehicle. If you must, they cover the area where your pet is going to be. If the vehicle comes back with pet dirt or odor, You WILL be charged an additional charge for cleaning and deodorizing the vehicle. The charge is a minimum of $50. Please be considerate. Thank You

When applies. Unlimited mileage only applies on driving in the tri-state area. and not to exceed 300 Mile Radius. or leave the NY NJ CT states.

Unlimited mileage is only offered to traveler to the airport and is not offered to the local renters. A Valid airline ticket or boarding pass is required to receive unlimited mileage with the rates.

DURING A 2, 3, OR 4 DAY HOLIDAY PERIOD, UNLESS WE SPECIFICALLY WRITE OTHERWISE ON YOUR CONTRACT, THE RATE QUOTED TO YOU WILL NOT CHANGE IF YOU DECIDE TO RETURN THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE DATE/TIME PRINTED ON YOUR CONTRACT. FOR EXAMPLE: IF YOU RENT A VEHICLE DURING THE THANKSGIVING 4 DAY HOLIDAY PERIOD, YOUR RENTAL CHARGE WILL BE THE SAME IF YOU KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR 1, 2, 3, OR 4 DAYS. HOLIDAY PERIOD INCLUDE LABOR DAY, MEMORIAL DAY, THANKSGIVING, 4TH OF JULY, CHRISTMAS, ETC.

During holiday periods discounts and coupon specials DO NOT apply. Holiday rates might be higher than Internet prices and are NOT DISCOUNTABLE, and rates of vans might be higher than posted on the Internet. If your reservation is made within 4 weeks of a national holiday the posted internet price is not guaranteed, please call to confirm prices. During certain holiday periods such as Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Christmas and possibly other holidays, the minimum rental is 4 days. This means that if the vehicle is returned before the 4th day, the charge will still be the full holiday 4 day charge. Due to the many reservation requests during a holiday time, in order to confirm and hold your reservation, you must call in and give a deposit towards your rental. Without a deposit we cannot guarantee the reservation. For further information please call our office. Also, please note that during holiday periods, there is NO unlimited miles program. The rate that we will quote you will include 700 miles( some cars 1000). Any miles driven over the allowed 700 miles during the holiday period will be subject to a charge of $.40/mile. If you know that you will need additional miles, please advise us as soon as possible and the management might be able to create a special program for your needs. Thank you.

f the renter decides to extend the rental period to a new date past the original return date on the rental agreement, this will automatically void any special pricing or rate that was associated with the original rental length, and the normal printed price sheet rental rate will then be applied to the total rental time starting from the first day of the original rental agreement. In other words; for example; if the renter was given a 2 day special price that included a certain % discount, and then decided to extend the rental to 5 days, then the % discount will no longer be valid and the total rental will be calculated by the regular printed price sheet price. Any exception must be given by the manager in writing.

Reservation Security will be charged at the time of the reservation, and prior to vehicle actual rental the entire rental charge will be charged. at the time of the pickup a security deposit will be hold on your account. That is 3 easy steps. 1. Secure your reservation 2.Pay for the rental 3. Authorize a Security deposit. Security Deposit very between cars vans and luxury cars.

Our policy for refueling gas is very simple. Please return the vehicle with the same gasoline level as when you took the vehicle. The fuel level amount will be printed on your Car Rental contract. If you return it with less gasoline, we will charge you $4.95/gal used. So, please check your gas level before returning the vehicle. Thanks

WHEN RENTING OUR GPS UNIT, IF THE UNIT DOES NOT COME BACK IN WORKING CONDITION, OR IS BROKEN OR LOST, THE $500 DEPOSIT WILL BE USED TOWARD THE REPLACEMENT OF A NEW GPS DEVICE. IF ANY ACCESSORIES/PARTS ARE MISSING, THE $500 DEPOSIT WILL BE USED TOWARDS THE REPLACEMENT OF THOSE ACCESSORIES/PARTS.

Each one of Image Rent A Car vehicles is equipped with a spare tire (unless the vehicle has run flat tires), and a jack and lug wrench. It is the sole responsibility of the renter to replace the tire with the spare provided in case of a flat tire. We do not give flat tire replacement service. The renter is also responsible for the cost of the replacement tire. Unfortunately there is sometimes road hazard, but we cannot assume responsibility for the damage caused to the tires and rims. Please drive carefully and be aware of streets ahead of you.

NO repairs of any kind, no matter how large or small may be done to the rental vehicle without written approval of the management. If a repair is done without approval, the renter will be fully responsible for any and all additional repair work that might be needed in order to properly repair the rental vehicle and to brig it back to its pre-rental condition.

We understand that travel agents have had a tough time recently with the airline carriers such as American Airlines, United Airlines, etc. where commissions have been cut back. In an effort to support travel agents, Image Rent A Car provides easy access to our rates for Travel Agents for any travel to NEW YORK CITY directly on our home page. We pay your commission at the end of the Rental.

Child safety seats are available. We understand that many people travel outside New York with little kids. We are proud to say that we carry a full stock of children and infant seats. our fee is nominal, only $5.00.day. You can reserve the seat on line along with your vehicle reservation.

Bicycle racks available. Many people rent cars that are not large enough to accomodate a bicycle. For a small charge you can take your bike with you. Simple and convenient.

3 Day minimum Rental applies to all vehicles. Saturday or Sunday drop-off / Delivery pays till Monday. Saturday or Sunday Pickup pays from Friday.

Our Monthly rates being calculate as 4 weeks rentals. 30 days will be charged as 4 Weeks plus 2 days.

Please be advised that if you need to cancel your weekend reservation for a non-exotic vehicle we require that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance for a Friday pickup/Delivery, or by Wendsday 1:00PM for a Friday Saturday or Sunday pickup/Delivery.

If canceling in less time than stated above there will be a cancellation charge that you will be responsible for.

On non-exotic cars the cancellation charge for a weekend is the 1 day advertised Internet weekend rate.

On holiday rentals the charge is your full holiday rental rate. This is due to the extreme shortage of vehicles in New York during holiday periods.

For exotic vehicles and 8-10-12-15 passenger vans/ Conversion Vans the charge is the 3 day Internet rate for your pickup/Delivery date and time. This includes weekend and weekday rentals. Holiday cancellation will be charged the full reservation rate.

So please, if you must cancel, call ahead in plenty of time, and speak to an agent, ask for her /him first name, and agent number, and cancellation number. Or, e-mail us at all@imagerentacar.com

However all specialty vehicles like Vans, and Luxury Cars and Holiday's and during peak-season once PAID a return will be subject to management approval OTHERWISE there will be no refund.

In some cases when renting a car or a VAN, the customer might have needs or concerns regarding one or more of our policies. This is understandable. So, at IMAGE Rent-A-Car we are here to help. One of the Owners or Managers is always available to speak with you and if need be override or change a policy to meet your needs. Your satisfaction is our concern.

We will always try to give you a specific color or model of car or Van, but we cannot guarantee that a specific car will be available. You will however get the correct car in the car class you reserved.

We also cannot guaranty the state of registration of our vehicle.

Our vehicles may be registered on New York or FLORIDA.

We at IMAGE Rent-A-Car will hold a confirmed vehicle reservation for not more than one half hour past the scheduled pick up time. Since there is usually such a high demand for EXOTIC vehicles, SUV's, cars & 15 Passenger Van Rentals in New York, New Jersey & Florida, we ask you to please call us at 888-718-0001 in NY NJ & 305-743-2622 in Miami, Fort Lauderdale West Palm Beach Florida if you are going to be late by more than 1/2 hour.

During Holiday periods and weekends (Friday-Monday) periods, starting April and through September and December - March in Florida) reservations must be made at least 48 hours before pick up time in order for your reservation to be valid. If reserving less than 48 hours in advance, please call our office and confirm the reservation with our agent. We will do our best to put you in the car or 15 passenger van you requested. Also please note that even if you make a reservation and the computer sends you a reservation confirmation, there is the chance that you will not be able to pick up the vehicle you selected at the time you reserved. This is due to customers before you who might be extending their rental at the last minute. In order to guarantee your vehicle you must call us with a credit card deposit during weekend and holiday period. If you wish to confirm your reservation please call us at 718-771-6666 and Florida 305-743-2622 with your deposit. Especially if you wish to reserve within less than 48 hours of your pick up time. We must have this policy due to the extremely high demand for vehicles during the peak seasons of the year. We cannot guarantee your weekend or holiday reservation if you reserve within less than 48 hours prior to pickup and did not call in with a deposit on your credit card. In order to confirm, please call us and leave a credit card or cash deposit. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

The renter is fully and totally responsible for any parking, traffic, and E-Z PASS or SUN-PASS summonses during the time of the rental. If you ignore and not pay any summonses you receive, we will be obligated to send your summonses to a company that charges a service fee to collect our tickets charges and bill you on YOUR credit card. There fee is $40 over and above the fee for the summons plus any additional late fees or other service charges administered by NYC or any other municipality that issued the summons. This could cost you much more than the original ticket. So please don't get a ticket, but if you do, please pay it timely in order to avoid all the other charges that you will have to pay anyway. If you try to avoid paying summonses, you will only pay much more later. There is no escape from paying summonses. Please take our advise. We know and we're trying to help you. PLEASE PAY YOUR SUMMONSES. Thank You.

Young drivers are WELCOME at IMAGE Rent A Car. Our minimum age requirement is 18. THERE IS AN UNDER AGE DRIVER SURCHARGE FOR YOUNG DRIVERS 18-24.
18-20 is $350.00/day
21-23 is $150.00/day
24 is $80.00/day

The surcharge is required for additional insurance. For extended rentals, some price reduction might be available. Please call with any questions. We'll be happy to help you.

We allow almost all of our vehicles to be driven out of NY state and in FLORIDA Locations in Florida State. But we must be told where you are planning to travel to and your furthest destination. Once we are told your driving destination, and if it is an out of state trip, you will need to get written approval from the manager, and an unlimited miles program might or might not be available, depending on the type of vehicle. Passenger vans must have the manager's written permission to travel outside NY state and in FLORIDA Locations in Florida State. We will be able to create a special mileage program just for you. We want to make sure that you get the proper vehicle with roadside assistance for your long journey outside the state. Your safety and comfort on long distance and all trips is our concern.
